Our Mission

The mission of Golden Honors is to recognize and celebrate Bethune-Cookman alumni and pre-alumni whose achievements, leadership and service exemplify excellence while continuing the legacy and values of Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune.

Our Purpose

Golden Honors provides an opportunity to spotlight Wildcats making meaningful contributions in their professions, communities and to Bethune-Cookman. Through recognition, storytelling and service, the program celebrates achievement while inspiring continued connection, impact and support across the B-CU community.

Pre-Alumni

Current Bethune-Cookman University seniors on pace to graduate in Spring or Summer 2027.

Young Professionals

Bethune-Cookman alumni who are under age 40 at the time of application.

Vanguard

Bethune-Cookman alumni who are age 40 or older at the time of application.

Program Overview

From Nomination to Golden Honors

Nomination
Members of the community nominate deserving B-CU alumni and pre-alumni for consideration.

Application
Nominations are reviewed for eligibility. Approved nominees are invited to complete the official Golden Honors application and submit the required materials.

Review & Judging
Completed applications are independently reviewed and scored by assigned judges using established Golden Honors criteria focused on service, impact, leadership, achievement and representation of the B-CU legacy.

Golden Honors
Selected individuals join the 2026 Golden Honors class and are recognized for their leadership, service, achievement and impact.
